A woman who previously “married and divorced” a ghost has urged Ian Holloway not to banish the spirit haunting his football ground.
Singer-songwriter Brocarde has instead told the Swindon Town boss to invite the spook to help with training his squad.
Holloway has said he feared his side’s poor run was down to the training facility being haunted, and even asked his wife to cleanse the area with sage.
But paranormal investigator Brocarde, who says she once married the ghost of a Victorian soldier, has urged him to leave the spirits be.
Brocarde said: “I appreciate that when you encounter strange, unexplained happenings, it’s pretty scary, and it’s only natural to want to get rid of any spirit that you think is potentially haunting you.
“I’ve learnt over the last few months that we really have to respect that ghosts are among us, and it’s really not our place to get them removed.”
Having featured on multiple TV programmes such as This Morning, Gogglebox and First Dates, Brocarde is now encouraging the Robins to embrace the paranormal in order to get back to the big time.
“Naturally any ghost hanging around a training ground has a vested interest in the game, they may even have been a star striker when they were alive or an undiscovered protégé dying to be in a team shirt.
“With some ghosts on the side, the team could be winning the Premier League in no time.”
Swindon currently sit 22nd in League Two, one point above the relegation zone to the National League.
