Two junior football teams in Swindon have got new kits following a donation.
Housebuilder Vistry has donated £780 to HS Sports FC to fund new kits and raincoats for the advanced under-8 and under-7 teams.
The club, founded in 2021 by Harvey Scholes, currently has 90 players aged between seven and 12, across 10 teams.
It plays its home games on pitches at Swindon Academy in Beech Avenue and also runs summer football camps and after-school clubs.
Mr Scholes said: "It is fantastic to get this kind of funding and support from such a well-known and respected company as Vistry.
"We are a welcoming club and in some of our sessions we introduce children as young as three to the wonderful game of football."
He added: "The new kits for the advanced teams that we have bought with the money from Vistry look amazing.
"These incredibly smart and professional-looking kits help engender a real team spirit and will ensure that our teams don’t look out of place against the academy sides.
"The brand-new kits also make the players want to emulate the superstars they see playing football on television."
The club's advanced teams for under-7s and under-8s are set to play academy teams from Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, and Queens Park Rangers.
Mr Scholes believes this exposure will help the players improve and may even lead to some being signed by professional clubs.
Hayley Ody, regional sales and marketing director at Vistry Cotswolds, said: "HS Sports FC is a young club and we are pleased to be able to support it in its early years.
"It is great to know that the club is getting more and more popular with youngsters in the Swindon area wanting to play football.
"The club has told us that our funding for the new advanced teams will lift the burden of paying for kits from the parents of the players.
"Parents give unwavering support to children who want to play football and we are happy our donation will help these dedicated mums and dads."
The housebuilder is building 370 new homes at Redlands Grove, which is part of Swindon’s wider New Eastern Villages project, set to provide around 8,000 new homes.
Vistry is also building 214 homes under its Bovis Homes brand at King George Park, on a 39-acre parcel of land at Lotmead, in the south-western part of the New Eastern Villages project.
