Swindon’s Hollywood Bowl is now open.

The latest addition to Greenbridge Retail and Leisure Park welcomed its first customers over the weekend.

It features 22 bowling lanes, state-of-the-art amusements, a bar and diner, and a party zone.

A spokesperson said: “We’re open in Swindon!

“The wait is over – Hollywood Bowl Swindon is officially open and ready to roll!

“Come check out our brand-new centre, bowl on our sleek lanes, and enjoy the ultimate day out with friends and family.

“The pins are set, the arcades are shining, and the fun is just getting started – the team can’t wait to see you! Who’s coming down first?”

The unit previously housed Currys PC World until 2021 and was a temporary base for the charity Computers for Africa until their lease ran out.

Construction has been underway over the last year to transform the venue into a bowling alley and amusement arcade.

The venue promised to welcome customers in late spring 2024, but the opening was pushed back until August, according to the Hollywood Bowl website, and then delayed again to late 2024.

Bookings can be made on the website www.hollywoodbowl.co.uk/swindon where guests can also be added to a mailing list for further updates.
