A singer and Britain's Got Talent winner is set to perform at a Christmas concert in Highworth later this month.

Richard Hadfield, who won the talent show in 2014 as part of the musical theatre boy band Collabro, will perform at St Michael's and Angels Church on November 23.

The event, which will take place from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, is a fundraiser for Big Highworth Community Foundation, with a bar and raffle to boost funds.

Mr Hadfield said: "I am incredibly excited to be visiting Highworth and performing at St Michael's and Angels Church in aid of Big Highworth Community Foundation.

"The evening will include some Christmas songs, lots of sing-a-longs and interactive tunes, and some wonderful musical theatre.

"I hope to see lots of people join us to support such a wonderful community charity."

Since his Britain's Got Talent victory, Mr Hadfield has knocked Ed Sheeran off the No 1 album spot, sung for royalty across the UK, and regularly performs the national anthem at Twickenham Stadium for England Rugby.

The chair of Big Highworth, Alison Cross-Jones, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be able to welcome Richard to Highworth.

"It's wonderful to have his support in our efforts to fundraise for our small local charity."
