People in Swindon who are facing homelessness, hunger or isolation this Christmas will be given a lifeline.
The charity Christmas Care is offering a full English breakfast, hot home-cooked lunch and early evening snack to those in need, as well as hot drinks, socialising, and festive cheer, with no need to book in advance.
The good cause has been providing food and friendship to hundreds of people annually since 1988 and will be doing so again at The Haven Day Centre on Queens Drive from December 24 to 29 between 9am and 5.30pm, closing early at 3pm on the last day.
John Jensen, of Christmas Care, said: “Christmas can be a lonely time, especially for those who are homeless or who do not have friends or family nearby. “We are there to provide food, warmth, safety and companionship.”

The charity is looking for volunteers who need to be good team players, willing to help with anything that's needed and be empathetic with guests.
John added: “We rely on the amazing, generous support of Swindon people. We appreciate anyone who can offer some time to make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate.”
Christmas Care also needs donations of food, drinks and festive treats. Food can be dropped off at The Haven (next to the ambulance station) from 10am to 2pm on December 14 and 22.
