More than 5,000 club car enthusiasts – some dressed in their spookiest outfits – flocked to a Halloween Action Day at Wiltshire’s Castle Combe Circuit on Saturday, October 26.

Organisers of the event near Castle Combe said it was a great success with over 1,700 cars on display as the show season came to a 'spooky' end.

A spokesperson for the Castle Combe Circuit said: “The event was a great success with around 1,700 display cars and around 5,000 people in total on site.

“What a way to end another incredible show season. Thanks to every single one of you who attended.”

Jerry Pennell, secretary of the Bath Motor Club, said more than 150 car clubs had taken part, adding: “It was a lot busier than we reckoned for the end of the season.

“It was a lovely day. It was sunny and warm and it was very busy.

“It’s a car social day for all the car clubs who come to the event.

Guest presenters Sam Hard and Adam C hosted the Halloween-themed action day, to give a ‘spooky’ send-off to the circuit’s last show of the season.

The action featured drifting demonstrations on the track to thrill visitors, as well as 15-minute track sessions from 9am to 4pm, track-time parade laps and charity passenger rides.

Other attractions include a trade village, show and shine competitions, with 20 lucky winners being offered the chance to make up this year’s Show & Shine competition stand, and much more.
