The world’s biggest fast-food company wants to make some changes to its branch in Swindon’s Orbital shopping park.
McDonald’s has put in a request to planners at Swindon Borough Council to change both the internal layout of its branch and the booths and route used by drive-through customers.
Customers who go inside the restaurant will see a slightly smaller space for eating, and the tills will be moved.
Outside there will be some minor changes to the appearance of the building and a new fence will create a corral for plant machinery at the rear of the building.
The booths and lanes used by drive-through customers will be slightly amended and a new pedestrian crossing added to the route between car parking spaces and the restaurant door.
A decision on McDonald's application is expected by mid-December.
