A PUMPKIN PATCH in the Cotswolds has been ranked as the most picturesque in England.
Cotswold Farm Park, home of Countryfile’s Adam Henson, saw its patch come first in a list of top 10 most Instagrammable pumpkin patches to visit this month by houseplant experts at plant retailer Beards & Daisies.
The experts gathered data on Instagram followers and hashtags for the most picturesque pumpkin patches in England to visit this year.
They combined these figures to calculate a final score for each patch, with the highest score indicating the most Instagrammable location.
“Coming in at number one with 51,000 Instagram followers and 11,300 hashtags (62,300) is Cotswold Farm Park, offering unbeatable countryside views perfect for pumpkin-picking,” a release about the ranking said of the attraction near Guiting Power.
“Beyond pumpkin-picking, the park lets you meet rare-breed animals and explore interactive exhibits.
“For a truly unique experience, hop on a tractor ride or snap a few candid shots while enjoying the café’s locally-sourced seasonal dishes - ideal for a day filled with cosy autumn vibes and Insta-worthy moments.”
This October, Cotswold Farm Park is offering a range of family-friendly activities, from exploring the dog-friendly Pumpkin Patch to carving your own spooky masterpiece.
The patch is open today, October 6, and on October 11 to 13, 18 to 20 and 23 to 31.
Pups can pose at canine selfie stations while visitors and their children pick from thousands of pumpkins or try their luck navigating the spooky maize maze.
There is also a ‘supermarket of squash’ with edible and ornamental pumpkins and gourds in different shapes, colours and sizes.
Those feeling crafty can join in the carving sessions, where kids and adults can create pumpkin masterpieces.
Carving kits and assistants will be on hand to help turn pumpkins into works of art.
Visitors can also explore trinkets, treats and snacks and enjoy exclusive discounts at the Ox Shed restaurant and shop.
The park is also hosting new after-dark Pumpkin Nights this year.
As the sun sets, the Pumpkin Patch will transform into a space with UV pumpkin displays and live music.
Pumpkin Nights take place on October 12 and 19, as well as from October 26 to 31.
