A Swindon woman has been recognised for her work in the construction industry.
Becca Weston, 33, from Stratton, was named the winner of the On the Tools category at Design and Build UK's Women in Construction Awards, triumphing over thousands of other contenders and coming out on top of a five person shortlist.
Ms Weston's expertise as a gas and oil engineer for Autoflame has seen her maintaining and repairing some of the UK's biggest commercial and industrial heating systems and boilers.
Her career began at Swindon College and has seen her rise to national recognition as an industrial engineer.
In addition to her professional commitments, Ms Weston, a single mother, also devotes time to charity work.
Notably, she played a significant role in a charity installation project last year for a disabled pensioner in Swindon, where she managed to restore the heating and hot water systems, securing all materials from various manufacturers and merchants for free.
The awards feature nine categories, including Business Owner, Inclusive Company, Rising Star, Lifetime Achievement and Contribution to Project, as well as On The Tools.
Ms Weston received her award during a ceremony in London on Thursday, September 26.
