The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court earlier this month.

PARK NORTH: Anwar Khan, of Milperton Court, has been sentenced for drug driving.

The 44-year-old pleaded guilty to driving an Audi A3 along Drakes Way on April 12, 2024, while having 32 micrograms of cocaine and 200 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine per litre of blood in his system.

He has been banned from driving for 12 months, fined £150, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Kate Chapman, of Downs View, has been sentenced for criminal damage.

The 56-year-old pleaded guilty to causing £900 worth of damage to a woman’s window on May 19, 2024.

She must pay £200 in compensation.

TOWN CENTRE: Eduardo Monteiro, of Faringdon Road, has been sentenced for two counts of threatening to damager property.

The 54-year-old indicated pleas of guilty to threatening to burn a man’s house down on June 23 and July 1, 2024.

He must pay a fine of £100 as well as £85 in court costs and £40 to fund victim services.

REDHOUSE: Mark Melhado, of Isambard Way, has been sentenced for driving without due care and attention.

The 57-year-old pleaded guilty to committing the offence in a Volkswagen Beetle on Lowry Way on August 11, 2024.

He received four penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a £100 fine as well as £85 in court costs and £40 to fund victim services.

SWINDON: Julian Clements, of Stonehill Green, has been sentenced for drink driving.

The 58-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit along Langstone Way on September 6, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 92 micrograms per 100 millilitres exceeded the prescribed limit.

He has been banned from driving for 22 months, fined £300, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs plus £120 to fund victim services.

TOOTHILL: Matthew Glover, of Stamford Close, has been sentenced for theft from a shop.

The 51-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing four washing tablets worth £33 from a Swindon Tesco on April 30, 2024.

He must pay a £50 fine.

BRAYDON: Dominic Fast, of Church Farm, has been sentenced for drink driving.

The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit along the A3102 Royal Wootton Bassett on September 7, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath namely 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.

He has been banned from driving for 36 months, fined £250, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs plus £100 to fund victim services.

MOREDON: Patrick Grichemi, of Powell Place, has been sentenced for driving offences.

The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to driving an Audi A3 along Cricklade Road on September 8, 2024, without a valid licence or insurance, and after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.

He has been banned from driving for 18 months, fined £250, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and £100 to fund victim services.

FRESHBROOK: Martin Kerrigan, of Newark Close, has been sentenced for drink driving.

The 62-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Saab 9 along Witney Road on September 8, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.

He has been banned from driving for 20 months, fined £600, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs plus £240 to fund victim services.
