Seventies pop star Tito Jackson had little-known links to Swindon.
The 70-year-old, who died on Monday, shot to fame performing with brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael in The Jackson 5.
In March 2008, the Adver reported that the music legend was looking to buy a house in Swindon and was considering a Jackson 5 reunion concert at the County Ground.
He mentioned this while visiting St Catherine's School, in Stratton St Margaret, to listen to an anti-bullying song performed by pupils and speak about his own experiences of bullying.
Mr Jackson said: "I love the area and I've been thinking about moving to England for a while.
"The people here are so kind and I've had some wonderful experiences.
"I thought the song was absolutely beautiful and had a really good message. The young girl who wrote it is obviously very talented.
"I used to get pushed around by kids on my block, but that made me want to succeed even more."
Abbie Fiore wrote the song Together We Can Fight when she was 10 years old.
Tito and his friend Matt Fiddes visited the home of Swindon Town FC on the same day.
In January 2007, Tito visited Mr Fiddes' Martial Arts School to meet fans, speak to students, and watch a demonstration.
