Swindon's leisure centres will be hosting a 'Summer of Fun' to engage communities during the school summer holidays.

The programme by the centres, managed by the charitable social enterprise Better, offers various activities ranging from swimming to tennis clinics.

Dorcan Leisure Centre has planned swim activity slots throughout the week as well as a HAF programme from August 5 to 29.

Meanwhile, Link Centre is set to deliver additional public ice skating, a trampoline park and a regular soft play programme.

Families can also take advantage of 'Kids for a Quid Swim' every Friday from 9am to 10am.

There will also be short course swimming lessons and a Delta Tennis Centre, which is a two-hour drop-in tennis clinic for eight to 16-year-olds.

Barnaby Rich, partnership manager for Swindon at Better, said: "We’re getting ready for a bumper, busy summer – welcoming many more people through our doors.

"Take a look at better.org.uk for details."

Better has also organised Summer Open Days from July 20 to 21 which invites people to try out activities in the closest Better leisure centres.

Free classes range from gym and fitness classes to yoga, swimming, tennis, and pickleball.
