A list of the most popular used car brands in Swindon has been revealed.
Audis are the most common used cars available to buy in Swindon, according to a new study of the second-hand car market by Independent Advisor Car Insurance.
They analysed a sample of listings from the top 12 car brands on the second-hand marketplace Auto Trader.
Out of 946 used car listings, Audi accounted for 15.5 per cent of second-hand cars.
Ranking second was BMW, which made up 15.3 per cent of listings, but was the number one most listed car brand across the UK.
Volkswagen came in third place, making up 14.1 per cent of the listings.
The least common used car brands available to buy in Swindon were Toyota, Nissan and Jaguar.
Connor Campbell, expert at Independent Advisor Car Insurance, said: "Before purchasing any second-hand vehicle, you should go through a checklist inspecting the car so that you don’t get any surprises once the car is yours. This includes inspecting tyres, looking for dents/scratches, looking at fluid levels, checking the electrics, looking for a spare tyre, and assessing wear and tear.”
He also recommended test driving the vehicle, checking MOT, tax and insurance costs.
