A search is underway for a missing 14-year-old boy. 

Miles Bailey, from Faringdon, Oxfordshire, was last seen at 3.30pm on March 25. 

Thames Valley Police has now instigated a public appeal for information on his whereabouts with a spokesperson saying they were worried about him. 

The youngster is described as being 5'6'' ft, with a slim build, brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing his school uniform.

"We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare," said Thames Valley Police.

"If you have seen Miles, know of his whereabouts or have information that you believe may help us, please call 101 quoting our reference 43240138421."

People in Swindon have also been urged to keep an eye out for Miles as he is also known to have travelled from Faringdon to the Swindon area in the past.
