A section of a busy roundabout in Cirencester has closed while investigations into a water leak continue.

Gloucestershire County Council has closed part of Kingsmeadow Roundabout where investigation and excavation work into the issue is currently taking place.

GCC said the leak has damaged the carriageway.

Due to the closure, motorists will not be able to drive the whole way around the roundabout but all approaches and exits remain open.

Diversion signs have been put in place to guide traffic.

Excavation work started on Monday, March 18 and GCC will be providing updates about this on Twitter.
