WORKERS at The Ridgeway Hospital are taking part in a series of fundraisers activities to help victims of domestic abuse.
Already they've raised more than £100 for Swindon Women’s Aid and Swindon Sisters Alliance CIC as part of the hospital’s giving something back initiative. Staff and clinicians chose the charities after a vote.
The initiative was launched in 2021 and encouraged staff and doctors in Circle Health Group hospitals to select a charity in the community they work in to support throughout the year. All money raised locally will be matched by Circle Health Group up to £2,000.
As well as filling eight boxes with toys, toiletries, warm clothes and other key essentials for SWA they ran a tombola for SSA.
The hospital's executive director Kate Liddington said: said: "Both charities do incredible work in our community and continue to make a difference to lives of the people they help. We are looking forward to organising more ambitious fundraising activities throughout 2022.”
