A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital after being attacked with a knife in Queens Drive.
The incident happened at around 12.15am this morning.
The 16-year-old is in a stable condition and his injuries are not described as life threatening or life changing.
Suspects, wearing black clothing and balaclavas, were seen leaving the scene on electric bikes.
Detective Inspector Megan Kenzie said: “This was an extremely concerning attack and it was a matter of luck that the young victim was not more seriously hurt.
"We do not believe that this was a random attack and there is no wider threat to the community.
“We urgently need to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen this incident take place or knows who the suspects might be.
“Wiltshire Police CID is investigating this serious assault with all the resources at their disposal. If you have information that could help bring the offenders to justice please contact us.”
