HAYDON WICK residents voted to invest £12,000 of the parish council's budget in youth services.
After months of consultation, the community voted for the continued development of youth services in the area.
A youth worker will also be employed to help develop and increase services and activities within the parish.
Residents were asked to vote for a project of their choosing as part of the Council’s first ‘Community Choices’ initiative.
The parish council will also be expanding the parish’s dementia support services and hosting a winter arts and cultural event.
Haydon Wick Parish Council chair Vinay Manro said: “We were glad to see our Community Choices initiative receive so much engagement in its first year.
"Haydon Wick Parish Council delivers many services, and Community Choices was a chance for our residents to have their say on what they would like to see delivered.
"All the options were community-related designed to help the us further engage with our residents.”
