Local accessibility campaign group Mums on a Mission have announced that the Swindon Designer Outlet Village will have fully accessibly Changing Places facilities every Wednesday in August.
The group consisting of six local mothers who all have children living with disabilities have been actively campaigning for several places in the Town to have a Changing Places facility, like Great Western Hospital, Coate Water, Lydiard Park and the Outlet Village.
In their statement on social media they wrote:
"MOAM are really thrilled to tell you that the Swindon Designer Outlet will have a fully accessible Mobiloo Changing Places toilet on site, every Wednesday throughout August! Which means we can visit the Outlet during the summer holidays and have our toileting needs met at the same time
MOAM met with management at the Outlet back in May and this was among our suggestions."
The group held an event at Lydiard Park on Saturday where one of the Mobiloo Changing Places facilities parked itself next to the children's play area, and it was used by 26 people.
Local Councillors also attended the event.
