ADVER readers praised the progress of Gareth Southgate’s squad and predicted how the grand final will play out.
David Smart said: “Italy are the best team in the competition so it is going to be really tough to beat them.
“Let’s hope we have a strong referee who won’t put up with the Italian play-acting. Patience and a strong will are needed.”
Tracey Thomas said: “Although England played the best I’ve seen them play in the second half and extra time of the semi-final and I really hope they win against Italy, if we don’t I’m still very proud of England getting to the finals 55 years since the last time we did so, a massive achievement.”
Kay Howe said: “It’s going to be hard on Sunday as both teams are good and both teams stand a good chance.
“It will be a shame if we don’t win but at least we can say we got there if we don’t.
“I think it’s too hard to call to be honest.”
