It will allow the school to expand its yearly intake from 15 pupils to 45.

The new building will have eight new classrooms catering for nursery, reception and Years 1 to 6 pupils; a new main hall with secondary small hall and storage and a reception lobby, office, toilets, kitchenette and first aid rooms.

The plans say the appearance of the buildings will be traditional.

Penhill: A developer is hoping to fill a gap between houses left over from when they were built in the 1950s with a small two-storey home.

Paljit Singh, of development company Johal, has applied to build the house next to 6 Marston Avenue.

The application says: “The land in question is a left over from the original Penhill housing development in 1952 -1955.

"It is assumed the reason why a gap was left between house numbers 4 and 6, is the existence of a 255mm diameter storm water drain.

“The site lends itself to a classic urban infill development.”

Mr Singh’s application says the piles for the house’s foundations will be driven in in such a way to avoid the storm drain.

The outline permission demanded full details of the houses’ appearance and lay out to be submitted and approved within three years before work starts.

Thames Water has asked for an extension of another three years to submit those details.
