PAINTED pebbles are being hidden around Swindon to motivate and cheer people up.
Pam Jones, 51, of Eldene is a member of the Rocks of Swindon Facebook group which was set up three years ago, and recently decided to try and motivate people during trying times.
They are mostly painted red and pink with quotes on them, such as 'you don't have to be perfect to matter'.
These can be found hidden around the town in undisclosed locations.
She said: "My friends helped me to come up with the idea as I'd been painted other rocks before but wanted to do something to help.
"I decided to create motivational pebbles to make people feel good, and so they know it's okay to feel how they feel.
"This past year has been very difficult, everyone has been in different boats but in the same storm. People seem to love them so far, I've had a huge positive response."
Pam had a personal request from a mum whose daughter was feeling low, and this personalised pebble helped to cheer her up.
"It was nice to be able to help, and to know what I was doing was making a difference," Pam added.
