DRIVERS have been warned about the possibility of delays in Trowbridge town centre due to utility works in the Market Street and Narrow Wine Street area.

Scottish & Southern Power Distribution will be working in the area between Thursday, May 2 and Thursday, May 9.

The company said the works will involve some work on the carriageway.

Meanwhile, contractors working for Wiltshire Council have recently resurfaced part of Stallard Street in Trowbridge.

They worked late into the night to resurface the top end of Stallard Street from the Trowbridge Railway Station entrance to the roundabout next to the Holy Trinity Church where it meets the A363 and the junction with Newtown.

The road was closed for several hours from 7pm onwards for three nights from Friday, April 25 while the works took place.

Further works are expected to take place in Church Street and Manvers Street in June following the completion of the Future High Street Fund improvement works in Fore Street and Wicker Hill.
