A dispute over the management of an ancient wood overlooking the Avoncliff Valley looks set to go to court.
A four-day trial over Becky Addy Wood near Bradford on Avon starts on Tuesday, April 30 in Bristol.
The Friends of Becky Addy Wood (FROBAW) were granted a temporary injunction in February 2023 preventing Bradford on Avon Town Council from doing any more tree works in the wood.

Following the injunction, a High Court order was put in place in May 2023 requiring that independent experts survey Becky Addy Wood and produce a report.
The council proposed to produce a two-year woodland management plan and be responsible for its implementation.
The two sides have been unable to agree a way forward.
A FROBAW spokesperson said: “We have been trying for many months to get a fair and just settlement for FROBAW which would protect Becky Addy Woods going forward.
“We are very disappointed that this has not been possible.”
Bradford on Avon Town Council has been contacted for comment but has not yet responded.
