Trains are having to run at a reduced speed as the extreme temperatures can cause the rail to expand and buckle, which could cause a train to de-rail.
At present two trains per hour are leaving for London Paddington which are leaving at 20 minutes and 40 minutes past each hour.
One train per hour is leaving for Swansea, while the same applies for services to Bristol and Cheltenham.
All services to Cardiff have been cancelled.
Great Western Railway is advising passengers to only travel when it is necessary and to bring plenty of water and sunscreen
